Homemade Peanut butter Cups

homemadepeanutbuttercups-640x424
I don’t know about you, but I have always enjoyed Reese’s Peanutbutter cups. After finding this recipe, I knew I had to give it a try!

Now, mine didn’t come out as pretty as I’d hoped but they are very tasty! 😊

What you will need:

  • 8 tablespoons of chocolate protein powder, I use my favorite nutritional shake, Vegan Chocolate Shakeology. *you can also use cocoa powder or organic cacao (healthiest is always best 😉)
  • 4 tablespoons of unrefined coconut oil
  • 4 tablespoons of organic peanut butter
  • Muffin tray

Directions:

Melt 2 tablespoons of coconut oil until it’s completely liquified. Add 4 tablespoons of chocolate powder and stir. Divide the chocolate mix as evenly as you can between 6-8 spots in the muffin tray. Place the muffin tray in the freezer for about 5 mins or until the chocolate mix is solid.

Take the tray out and evenly add peanut butter, about 1/2 a teaspoon will do. Then melt the remainder of coconut oil and mix chocolate. Evenly add chocolate mix on top of peanut butter and place back in the freezer until solid.

Pop them out and enjoy! You can store the rest by placing them in a container or a ziplock bag. These at delicious and good for you! No guilt in eating these yumi treats! ☺️

Avocado Mask

I’m back with another beauty post my friends! Today I’m sharing with you a deep conditioning mask with two ingredients you probably already have right in your pantry!

Ingredients:

  • Ripe Avocado
  • Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil

Directions:

Cut into the avocado, half is more than enough for a face mask. Using a fork, mash the avocado until it is smooth. Take a tablespoon of melted coconut oil and add it to the avocado.

mask-steps

Be sure to cleanse your face before adding the mask. This coconut face wash is my favorite find! The price is decent and feels great on the skin! You can find it here.

Wash and gently tap your face dry before applying the mask.

Once you’ve evenly applied the mask to your face, let it sit for 15 minutes. Now, because I don’t like to see the rest go to waste and it was wash day for me, I applied the rest of the mask to my hair. 🙂

Avocado is rich in antioxidants and is an age defying fruit. This tightens the skin, preventing those unwanted wrinkles! It deeply moisturizes and fuels your skin with all its nutrients, leaving your face smooth and glowing. The coconut oil adds moisture as well as adding a fresh bright glow to the skin. If you don’t want to use coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil is a great substitute. You can also add essential oils to the mixture, lavender and rosemary are both soothing and smell wonderful!

After the face mask has set for 15 mins, gently rinse with cool water and apply your choice of face cream. As for the hair mask, in order to get the full benefits, let it sit for at least 30 mins to an hour and wash as usual.

This is the first time I’ve used this treatment for my hair and face and I have to say, I can really see and feel the difference! My skin feels so moisturized and cleansed. I can see the immediate glow after just one use!

My hair feels and looks great too! It’s soft and shiny and the mask add life to my curls. This was so simple and I will definitely be using this mask weekly.

🙂

Until next time! xo

New Year, New You, New Lifestyle!

new years-2016.jpg

Let’s be real folks, for many of us, this is what our New Year’s resolution list looks like. Nothing wrong with making a plan, strategizing, and really inspiring yourself to be ready to crush these resolutions for the new year!

BUT, let’s face it, many people also fail at sticking to them. Why? Well, I can go on and on about how we can fail at something but I’m not going to do that. I want to talk about how we CAN stick to crushing these resolutions/goals and make them a lifestyle and not something we wait till the end of the year to commit to changing.

January 4th I will be running an online health/fitness challenge with my team. Guess what? IT”S FREE!!! 🙂 Pretty awesome, right? 😉

We offer accountability, free meal plan/grocery list, full support 24/7! In as little as 21 days, with your dedication and hard work, you can get the results you’ve been waiting for! What I love about these challenges is that it is not only about eating right and exercising. These challenges change you, from the inside! You feel yourself becoming a better version of YOU and therefore, you simply work harder at everything else, in every aspect of your life. You build relationships/friendships, you want to learn more, your dreams become bigger, you become a better person, a better parent, a better friend, and you have a natural love for life and in doing so, you will find yourself wanting to share this amazing feeling with the world! As you should! This is not something that is meant to be kept hidden. Everyone deserves to live a life of fulfillment, to be the best versions of themselves possible!

So, you want to cross off these new years resolutions and create a healthier, happier, and active lifestyle? Let’s do it! Let’s CRUSH 2016 and every year thereafter! 🙂

January 4th I am inviting you and anyone you want to bring along for this awesome ride!

Comment below or shoot me a message on my Facebook page for more details and how to secure your spot! Last day for entry is Sunday, January 3rd!

Life or Death?

deciding-to-live

Are you satisfied with your life now? If you’re thinking perfection then that’s something that needs to change right now. Don’t strive for perfection, otherwise you’ll end up disappointing yourself. Strive to simply be better than yesterday. Working on becoming a better you instead of a “perfect” you is what counts. No one is perfect, the happiest and wealthiest people are not perfect and come across mishaps but it is all how you move forward.

Don’t worry or be afraid of what you don’t have control over. Live you’re life as you choose. Live a life of fulfillment, a life by design, a life with purpose!

It’s in you, just allow it to happen and making small changes will bring you serious results!

If you can dream it, you can manifest it! 🙂

Mommy Workout

Being a stay at home mom can be difficult with the kids taking up so much of my time. Now that my oldest has started kindergarten, it does make things easier and I’m able to find more time to get a workout in. Even if it is just thirty minutes. It’s really all you need as long as you’re giving it you’re all! 😊

I’m not saying it’s easy. My littlest one interrupts a lot but I just keep pushing through!!

Below is a peek at what my workouts look like. I don’t go to the gym, I do everything in my house 😉 so there really aren’t any excuses. Even if you only have ten minutes a day. You can find the time!! 😊

  • Get a helper! 🙂

Please let me know if you try this and how they turned out. There are many ways to season these so experiment! You can add a bit of paprika, or even vinegar and sea salt! 🙂
