Day 4

Ah, the rain. Why do so many people despise rainy days? Who said it must be sunny for you to run around the yard with arms spread out wide like a bird ready to take flight?

I welcome the rain. I welcome the shades of gray waves in the sky, pouring down on us, washing away the pain, sorrow, and tears.

Sure, sunny days are pretty great. Oh, but the rain, the sound of the pitter patter as I fold into the corner of my chair with a hot cup of tea is bliss.

The sweet tunes each droplet makes cast a welcomed spell on my heart when I near the window and look at nothing but see everything.

The rain.

My safe haven, my dearest friend.

When my voice went dry, the rain cooled my heart, playing its sweet music for me, calming my mind so that I could write what I could not speak.
